Spal Me Maybe: Predator’s Home Streak Hits 15

With their win on Thursday night, the Nashville Predators are now 14-0-1 in games in which Nick Spaling scores a goal.

Or, perhaps, Bridgestone Arena likes Nick Spaling scoring in it.

Coming into Thursday night’s game against Phoenix, Spaling had scored 17 goals in 14 different games on Nashville home ice, including playoff games.

Of those 14 games, the Predators had won 13. The odd game out was an overtime loss last season to Columbus.

In other words, Nashville had never lost in regulation when Nick Spaling scored a goal at home.

At 9:38 of the third period against Phoenix, Spaling scored his first home goal in nearly a year…and, thus, the streak was on the line.

The Predators held on, tacking on another goal and defeating Phoenix 3-0.

With the win, the Predators record when Spaling scored a goal increased to 14-0-1 – 15 games without a regulation loss.
